Here are some of the common injuries that are associated with auto accidents and slip and fall personal injuries.

Head Injuries

A head injury is most common with high impact auto accidents and are very serious. Worst case traumatic brain injuries occur ranging from mild concussions to slipping into comas, often leaving you with lasting cognitive problems. This will result in long term medical care. Skull fractures, hearing loss, vision problems, and vertigo are also results of some head injuries.

Back injuries

Back injuries can range from muscle sprains to paralysis depending on whether or not the spinal cord has been damaged. Light spinal cord damage can cause numbness in limbs and tingling pain.

Probably the most well known car accident injury is whiplash. Sudden movement of the head and neck (such as from a rear-end collision) can cause serious neck muscle and ligament damage. Whiplash injuries can differ from person to person, depending on the accident and the health of the person involved in it. Generalized neck pain and swelling is also fairly common. It is also not unheard of for patients to suffer temporary vocal cord paralysis after a car accident.
Accidents involving pedestrians can cause broken arms, feet or legs and that is usually from a slower impact. High impact collision with pedestrians will usually result in death.

Slip and Fall injuries usually result in head and back injuries.
